Want to join a growing non-profit organization dedicated to the science and technology of decision making? INFORMS is looking for a Member Engagement Coordinator to join our staff team. INFORMS is a 50-person staff team located in Catonsville, MD. INFORMS is a hybrid working environment with two days in our Catonsville office.
The Member Engagement Coordinator supports the development and execution of programs that enhance the INFORMS member experience, with a focus on retention, engagement, and growth. This role works closely with staff and volunteer leaders, serving as a key point of contact for the INFORMS Roundtable and other member groups. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicative, and adaptable, able to juggle multiple priorities with professionalism and minimal supervision. Reporting to the Member Engagement Manager, the coordinator also provides project and administrative support to the Membership team and engages regularly with members, volunteers, and external partners.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Member Engagement, Retention, and Growth
Support the planning and implementation of engagement and retention campaigns through the AMS/CRM, online community, and other platforms.
Lead and grow key member programs, including Mentor Match and the Speaker Program.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create and maintain membership web content and collateral.
Partner with staff across departments to promote the value of membership to key cohorts such as students and early-career professionals.
Volunteers, OnlineCommunities, and Committee Support
Serve as primary staff support for the INFORMS Roundtable, including meeting coordination, board calls, invoicing, and financial reporting.
Help volunteer leaders build and sustain active online communities through strategy development, training, and engagement best practices.
Provide committee support as needed, including scheduling, agenda preparation, meeting minutes, and member communications.
Systems and Process Improvement
Support the development and maintenance of procedures and training materials related to membership and online communities in the AMS/CRM.
Recommend improvements to internal workflows, member services, and online join/renew processes using knowledge of the AMS/CRM and related tools.
Collaborate on cross-functional projects that improve membership operations and data quality.
General Member Services and Departmental Support
Respond to member and nonmember inquiries professionally and promptly.
Assist with membership communications, reporting, and data analysis.
Contribute to department reports, including metrics and updates for the INFORMS Board.
Collaborate with the Customer Service Manager to support the member renewal process, providing oversight on content, materials, and timelines.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Excellent verbal, written, listening, and analytical skills

Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders

Maintains a positive and professional attitude, especially when engaging with members, staff, and team members.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with a CRM or association management system (preferably Salesforce) a plus
Experience with online community platforms such as Higher Logic strongly preferred
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent professional experience of at least 5 years
Ability to travel 2-3 times per year
Familiarity with content management systems and basic web editing
Background in a membership-based organization, nonprofit, or association environment strongly preferred
