Position Purpose: The Director of Education Development will lead the education, content development and instructional design strategy efforts in new development opportunities for AACE’s global education, guidelines, and publications portfolio. The Director of Education Development is required to have experience in international education programs and program development. The Director of Education Development will write, create, and develop needs assessments, grant proposals, and collaborate with other stakeholders on accredited education grants and other support opportunities.

Who You Are: Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred. In lieu of Master’s degree, the desire to pursue graduate level studies in Education or related field. Minimum 5 years’ experience in delivering continuing medical education in a professional association environment. Previous supervisory experience required. Working knowledge of ACCME requirements. Demonstrated experience working with Learning Management Systems and Association Management Systems. Experience in writing and developing education needs assessments and grant proposals to support AACE’s education portfolio. Experience in international education program development. Able to master complex systems quickly and translate technical information for novices to easily understand. Ability to deliver on-time and within budget approved projects within established parameters using own judgment and related work experience in executing responsibilities. Proven ability to troubleshoot and to plan effectively to avoid problems. Demonstrated ability to independently plan and implement CME programs in a variety of innovative settings and formats. Previous experience building and delivering programs EX-US. Cultural intellect: being aware of societal needs and differences in languages – words matter. Awareness of cultural nuances and how communications and relationships function within different cultures. Professionalism: Good judgment; ability to interact with all levels of staff, volunteers, and vendors.
