Reports to: Vice President, Finance & Shared Services
Core Functions: Responsible for overseeing and managing accounting functions, including preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Supervise staff accountant and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. Preparing and analyzing financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement), ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulations.
Specific Responsibilities:
General Ledger Maintenance: Overseeing and ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
Month-End and Year-End Close Processes: Participating in and coordinating the month-end and year-end close procedures, including preparing adjusting entries and reconciliations.
Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, and providing reports and insights to management.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting with budget preparation and financial forecasting and analyzing budget variances.
Internal Controls: Evaluating and improving internal control processes and procedures.
Audit: Ensure accurate and complete financial records, maintain proper documentation, and verify internal controls. Reconciliation of accounts and assist in developing audit plans
Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.

Qualifications Experience in dealing with boards of directors, project management and customer service experience are an essential part of this job.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
Certifications: CPA or CMA certification preferred, but not required
Experience: Significant experience in accounting, preferably in a supervisory role.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP), financial reporting, and internal controls.
Skills: Analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, financial modeling tools, and Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills. Sage Intacct a plus
Salary & Benefits:
Full-time, Exempt ranging from $62,000 - $85,000. Commensurate with experience.
Eligibility for our annual bonus program with a bonus target.
Hybrid and/or remote work arrangement .
Medical & Dental benefit: employer contribution is 80%; Vision Insurance also available.
401 K with employer match up to 5% of earnings.
Life & ADD – 2X your salary up to $250,000; No cost to employee.

Paid Holidays; CFMA is closed the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
