The American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) is a medical specialty society representing approximately 2,400 transplant surgeons, physicians, scientists, and allied health professionals working in the dynamic field of solid organ transplantation. Our staff is passionate about supporting the scientific research, clinical, advocacy, and educational activities in which our members are engaged. The Manager, Accreditation & Certification will have an essential role in the administration and success of ASTS educational offerings and the Transplant Accreditation & Certification LLC (TAC). This position will support accreditation, training and certification activities for abdominal transplant surgeons.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Serve as the primary liaison to the ASTS Fellowship Training Committee (FTC) to develop programming for the Fellows Symposium, administer Jobs Townhall and onboarding webinars, and manage educational resources for fellows;
Serve as primary liaison to the TAC Program Accreditation Committee (PAC) to accomplish the administrative functions of the accreditation process;
Oversee SF Match records; track and update program accreditation records as needed, and handle match waiver requests.
Oversee operation of the TAC portal for accreditation and the Fellows Symposium meeting registration, including needed adjustments and upgrades, ensuring compliance with established procedures for data entry and maintenance, and working with the provider to ensure smooth operation;
Maintain, create, and update the TACC website pages as needed;
Support the TAC certification program as needed;
Communicate with fellows, certification candidates, and Fellowship Training Program Directors as needed;
Provide outstanding customer service to TAC program directors and coordinators;
Manage program annual and accreditation fees and process and prepare invoices.
Serve as backup monitor to the TACC inbox;
General administrative duties and other duties as assigned; some travel required.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey project requirements, deadlines, and expectations to diverse stakeholders;
Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to work effectively and professionally with physicians and other health care professionals;
Strong project management abilities and organizational skills, the ability to work independently and prioritize amongst multiple projects and deadlines and function with a fast-paced team environment with internal and external stakeholders;
Demonstrated success at collaborating with cross-functional teams;
Technologically savvy, has experience with accreditation and certificate software;
Results-oriented, self-starter, deadline-conscious, intellectually curious, and willing to learn, detail oriented and accurate;
Excellent customer service skills;
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
