Position Summary:
The Director, Bank Relations drives member engagement and resource utilization. This role connects bankers across Northern Illinois, including the Chicagoland area, with all of the benefits that the IBA offers, ensuring they're informed and supported. You'll lead outreach, build relationships, and provide tailored solutions to member banks annually.
Responsibilities:
Membership Engagement:
Execute annual outreach plans, ensuring personalized member contact.
Connect members with relevant resources and expert solutions.
Build strong relationships with key bank decision-makers.
Address member’s needs, ensuring satisfaction.
Sales & Business Development:
Promote association resources to drive engagement and retention.
Identify opportunities to expand membership value.
Collaborate on compelling presentations and proposals.
Track engagement metrics for improvement.
Strategic Planning:
Contribute to strategic initiatives for membership growth.
Stay updated on industry trends and member needs.
Maintain accurate member records in CRM.
Representation:
Represent the association at industry events.
Advocate for member interests.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or 5+ years banking/sales experience
Proven track record in client relationship management
Strong understanding of the banking industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office
Willingness to travel
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation
