About the Role AIHA is seeking a strategic, results-oriented Senior Manager, Exhibits and Sponsorships to lead the development, sales, and fulfillment of our exhibit and sponsorship programs across major events including AIHA Connect, PSX, and other industry meetings. In conjunction with the Chief Experience Officer (CXO), defines and executes long-term organizational strategic goals for business development and partnership expansion to preserve and increase AIHA’s market share. This role plays a critical part in driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and ensuring the success of our premier expositions and programs such as the Hamilton Club.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized self-starter with strong business development, client relationship management, and event execution skills—able to manage multiple programs, collaborate across departments, and drive continuous improvement in both process and performance. The candidate should be able to balance a sales mindset as well as service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manages business development and delivery aspects of AIHA Connect, PSX, International, and other key meetings; Guideline Foundation; ad hoc products and services; and organization’s Hamilton Club program to ensure success by performing following duties:
Business Development & Partnership Growth
Identify, develop, and cultivate new prospects and markets through research, outreach, and consultative sales strategies.
Drive retention and growth of existing clients by creating high-value deliverables and deepening relationships through tailored packages and programs.
Attend industry events and gather market intelligence to inform product development and strategic decisions.
Develop sponsorship and partnership opportunities from ideation through delivery in collaboration with internal teams and a third-party contractor.
Lead the Hamilton Club program, enhancing member value through customized deliverables and VIP experiences.
Sales Management & Operations
Oversee third-party contractor sales activities, pricing strategies, and client negotiations; ensure alignment with AIHA’s brand and revenue goals.
Define value propositions, develop sales collateral, and implement promotional campaigns in partnership with Marketing.
Track, forecast, and report on pipeline progress, revenue targets, and customer feedback using CRM tools.
Event & Exhibit Management
Manage all aspects of exposition planning and execution for AIHA Connect and PSX—including exhibit hall design, logistics, floor plans, vendor coordination, customer service, and onsite delivery.
Serve as the primary point of contact for exhibitors and sponsors, resolving logistical challenges and ensuring a seamless experience.
Handle exhibitor contracts, communications, newsletters, service kits, registration tools, and invoicing.
Oversee fulfillment of all sponsor and exhibitor deliverables, coordinating with marketing, publishing, and event teams.
Administrative & Budget Oversight
Develop and manage annual budgets, revenue goals, and expense forecasts for exhibits and sponsorships.
Ensure accurate data tracking, reporting, and system updates across CRM and online platforms.
Lead performance meetings with contractors and internal stakeholders to align on objectives and evaluate effectiveness.
Participates in review of future site visits. Occasional travel and ability to work extra hours is required.
Qualifications Education & Experience
Required:
Bachelor’s degree required in relevant area. In lieu of a degree, 15 plus years of experience will be considered.
At least 10 years’ experience in conference planning, exhibits and sponsorship management
At least 5 years supervisory experience
CMP or CEM certification or designation required where applicable
At least 7 years’ work or volunteer experience in professional membership organization or association

Travel Travel is required. Approximately 10% of the time will be spent traveling. Attendance at our annual conference is anticipated.
Residency Requirement Based on our business set-up and to maximize hybrid work opportunities, AIHA only employs individuals who live in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia. To be considered, a candidate must live in, or be willing to relocate on their own to, Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia.
Salary The pay for this position ranges from $100k - $120k, based on experience and qualifications.
