BOMA International operates a hybrid work schedule where you come into our downtown DC office, near Metro, three days per week while working from home two days per week. Because of our in-office requirements, only candidates in the Washington, DC area will be considered. The Coordinator, Association Services will be responsible for implementing tactics to promote and engage membership and support local associations in a federated association. This position involves interaction with a dynamic team and across internal departments, as well as with BOMA local association staff and volunteer leadership. Qualified candidates should have at least one year of experience in membership or chapter/component relations with a trade association or professional society, or related experience. They must have excellent communications and relationship-building skills, be detail-oriented, possess strong customer service skills, and have a demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments and projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include:
Association Services Management
Establish robust working relationships with BOMA local association staff and volunteer leaders to provide support in membership marketing, reporting, training, and onboarding of key stakeholders
Manage and distribute monthly invoices for our local associations
Disseminate materials, guides, and other collateral to assist BOMA and its federated local associations across the United States with membership recruitment and retention efforts
Assist with Member-at-Large and National Associate Member outreach and expansion
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with other departments, committees, and key stakeholders to align membership retention and growth with broader organizational initiatives
Foster collaboration and engagement within the association's community to ensure effective program implementation and member satisfaction
Support BOMA International's Recognition Programs by maintaining program data and reports, assisting with communications and events, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables
Provide responsive member and applicant support through effective communication, issue resolution, and process coordination, contributing to a seamless and positive experience for participants and stakeholders
Communication and Promotion
Assist in developing communication strategies to promote membership programs and services
Utilize various channels, such as newsletters, websites, and social media to raise awareness and encourage participation
Data Analysis and Evaluation
Collect and analyze data related to the impact and effectiveness of recognition programs and association services
Use insights to make data-driven decisions, refine programs, and enhance service offerings
Compliance and Governance
Ensure that membership programs comply with relevant regulations and adhere to the association's governance structure
Continuous Improvement
Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance the quality and impact of recognition programs and services over time
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as marketing, communications, business administration or a related discipline
Minimum one year of member services and engagement experience, preferably with an association or professional society. Experience with a federated association structure a plus.
Highly proficient with MS Office applications
Experience with Salesforce or other association management software
