We are seeking strategic and cutting-edge candidates for the newly created Associate Director role on our Event Education Design team. In this role, you will support and promote innovation in our live and enduring scientific programs, including the ENDO Annual Meeting and its derivative products. You will play a major role in ensuring impactful learning opportunities for scientists and clinicians by continuously evaluating performance, identifying new opportunities, and piloting unique & novel formats. Your role will play a major impact on the seminal meeting in hormone health and science by guiding and collaborating with our Annual Meeting Steering Committee (AMSC) to manage committee functions and steering the development of the ENDO curriculum, pre-conference programs, and editorial products.
What you’ll bring to the job:
- BA/BS degree required, plus a minimum of 7 years’ experience in developing programmatic education for association meetings and/or adult education; other relevant experience or education may be considered.
- Strong oral communication skills necessary to run large and complex committee proceedings.
- Experience with adult education principles and knowledge of ACCME and AMA requirements necessary for providing CME (Continuing Medical Education).
- Experience using Learning Management Systems & Abstracts Submissions Systems; experience with Oasis LMS, cOASIS, and/or eventPower a plus.
- Highly motivated and results-oriented, holds themself accountable, and takes responsibility for mistakes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel required. Experience with a speaker presentation and abstract management system and ability to learn new technology as required.
- Highly skilled in fostering a team culture by showing concern for each team member, recognizing their contributions and thoroughly enjoys energizing and motivating others toward a goal.

What you’ll own:
Serve as a secondary staff liaison to the Annual Meeting Steering Committee (AMSC) to manage the teams responsible for all committee functions and ensuring efficient and timely development of educational programs, including:
- Strategic leadership for staff and member volunteers who plan the Society’s premier educational activities, including ENDO and other live, virtual and hybrid conferences.
- Provide orientation to new committee chairs to facilitate the identification of new appointees and coordinate confirmation of appointments with the governance team.
- Plan timelines for the AMSC planning meetings.
- Ensure all appropriate committee agenda materials and background information to support planning are prepared including orientation materials, background planning materials to include previous meeting program and evaluation data, historical information, committee and general membership program suggestions, surveys, focus groups, reports, etc.
- Works closely with Experience Design Team to ensure logistical needs are met.
Coach and supervise Specialist, Event Education Design to manage content development and program build-out using a speaker and abstract management system that supports conference programming, including:
- Program suggestion site
- Presenter portal for invitation, disclosure, and confirmation
- Abstract submission and review site
- Abstract grading and scheduling sites
- Presentation selection using session builder
- Program and itinerary planner
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and effective implementation and promotion of live meetings, including:
- Work closely with Marketing and Communications to promote and drive attendance to programs and products.
- Review conference/program related promotions, publications, and program platform(s) in collaboration with Marketing, Publications, and vendor-partners.
- Provide the Development and Strategic Partnerships team applicable outcomes data for sponsored programs. Connect with Media Relations team to conduct editorial review of newsworthy abstracts for promotion to the lay and industry media.
Plan clinical education programs and workshops associated with signature events, including the Endocrine Summit, Dimensions in Diabetes, and ENDO pre-conference programs and workshops.
Use evaluations and outcomes reports for live meetings and other programs to develop new needs assessments for ENDO and other educational activities. Integrate member needs and performance gaps in planning scientific and educational programs.
Streamline processes and create standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure continuity.
