The Association of Progressive Rental Organizations (APRO) is a national trade association based in Austin, Texas that represents the Rent-To-Own industry (RTO). The Associate General Counsel (Counsel) will be expected to work closely with the longstanding General Counsel to learn the rent-to-own industry, its legislative and legal history, and key stakeholders. Counsel will be responsible for monitoring industry news daily including consumer, economic, and political studies and understanding what action is necessary. Actions could include developing policy positions, legislative alerts, strategic advocacy messaging for members. Additionally, Counsel will collaborate with APRO’s Governmental Relations Committee.
