The director will manage the association’s strategic membership planning as well as daily membership function, including operations, recruitment, retention, and engagement. The director will be primarily responsible for development, management and implementation of all membership recruitment/retention plans, supervision of member services staff, staff liaison to volunteer membership task force, management of telemarketing vendor relationship as well as other outside vendors; and management of daily operational processes to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality, member service.
Candidates should have five or more years of membership management experience preferably in associations. In-depth knowledge of association management systems (knowledge of NOAH AMS a plus) and basic association accounting knowledge. Demonstrated ability to design, evaluate, and implement internal operational workflows and plans, and membership recruitment and retention plans; demonstrated success at and commitment to facilitative skills and a creative approach to work and the ability to coordinate and complete work under pressure and time constraints; experience managing staff; excellent writing, oral and interpersonal skills.
