AACC, a DC-based dynamic international scientific/medical society of clinical laboratory professionals, seeks a Manager, Graphic Design. The Manager, Graphic Design is responsible for implementing the AACC brand in print and digital materials and communications to convey AACC messages with high visual impact. The position designs and produces multimedia marketing materials for print and online promotion of AACC products and services and works with all AACC departments towards the implementation of project design requirements on projects funneled through the Communications/PR and Marketing departments.
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from accredited college or university program in fine arts or graphic design. Must have a strong understanding of graphic design and layout skills using a variety of software applications, including Adobe Creative Suite. Prior experience in a non-profit environment and a knowledge of, or interest in, science and/or medicine is preferred. Must have prior experience managing multiple, simultaneous complex projects and meeting strict deadlines. Must be able to work independently but cooperatively.
Requires extensive familiarity with graphic design and desktop publishing software. Ability to work with staff and vendors to design, and implement graphics in support of program objectives. Extensive knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and HTML preferred.
