Texas Alliance of Child and Family Services (TACFS), an association of child- and family-serving providers in Austin, Texas, invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for its next CEO. This is a hybrid leadership role, with the candidate needing to live in the vicinity of Austin.

TACFS is Texas' leading network of mission-driven organizations that have embraced the call to serve vulnerable children, youth, and families in their communities. TACFS members across Texas work to prevent and address child trauma through services including prevention and early intervention, family preservation, residential/foster care services, adoption, post-adoption, youth and young adult transition services, mental health, education, commercially sexually exploited youth (CSEY), and other programs designed to promote safety and reduce risk for children, youth, and families.

The Alliance is looking for a dynamic and mission-driven Chief Executive Officer who will work with a highly skilled, committed staff and boards to successfully oversee TACFS and the Texas Center for Child and Family Studies. This position is regarded and respected as the voice of TACFS members and the successful candidate will be comfortable representing the needs and successes of child and family wellbeing providers across the state. As the child welfare system in Texas shifts rapidly, this position and the organization it leads will continue to be called upon to drive system improvement and innovation. TACFS has 28 staff and a $7.9 million budget.

The salary range is $180,000 - $260,000.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will be someone who is passionate about child and family services and has mission-driven experience related to TACFS's programs and scope of work. A bachelor's degree is required and an advanced degree is preferred.

In addition to the qualifications stated above, the board of directors identified the following capabilities and attributes of a successful candidate:

• Working knowledge of state systems, the legislative process, child and family services, and/or other related fields and how to be influential in these settings.
• Capable of fiscal oversight of a multimillion dollar organization; and experience growing financial resources and using those resources strategically and responsibly.
• Management and retention of a dynamic organization and team with an array of expertise and backgrounds.
• A strategic thinker who excels at developing and advancing a vision for the organization and related systems.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize a wide range of membership issues and needs into responsive action plans.
• Strong communication skills and comfort with public speaking, giving legislative testimony, and presenting to large groups.
