United Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State, Inc. d/b/a Constructive Partnerships Unlimited (CP Unlimited) is one of New York City's largest and most wide spread Community Living Organizations with programs dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities.

CP Unlimited is a broad based multi-service organization providing services and programs for people with developmental disabilities. In the NYC metropolitan area, the agency operates an extensive community based living program, day habilitation programs, and community habilitation services. CP Unlimited focuses on giving people the personal, social, and vocational supports needed to live in their communities.

CP Unlimited is seeking a Vice President of Finance to oversee and safeguard CP Unlimited assets and financial information. The VP of Finance will establish adequate internal controls and oversee Accounts Payable/Receivable, General Ledger, Purchasing and Payroll Departments. 

As the Vice President of Finance, specific responsibilities include:

• Analyzes and evaluates reimbursement rates for CP Unlimited through cost data analysis and review of OPWDD DOH report submission in conjunction with Federal/State regulations. 
• Responsible for the completion of the monthly accounting close and ensuring GAAP compliance. Provides efficiency within the accounting team.
• Coordinates the review and finalization of financial statements.
• Responsible for reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring that the CP Unlimited accounting policies and processes are thoroughly documented.
• Works with the CP Unlimited Senior staff and the Budget Department on development of annual budgets and reviews and analyzes monthly budget vs. actual reports for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Interviews, hires, evaluates, supervises, and disciplines staff in the Finance Department to ensure effective and efficient performance of accounting activities and work performance.
• Responsible for ensuring the generation of the biweekly payroll and the coordination of all tax deposits.
• Establishes adequate internal accounting controls to safeguard the assets of Constructive Partnerships Unlimited, Inc.
• Coordinates and works directly with outside auditors for the completion of annual financial statements.
• Works directly with all department personnel in the coordination of responses initiated by external audit requests. 
• Assists the Executive Vice President, CFO, CAO as requested to execute special projects.

• Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance;
• 5 years’ experience in public accounting;
• 5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity;
• Knowledge of Oracle software.
