The American Library Association (ALA) is seeking a Deputy Director, Public Policy and Government Relations to join our Public Policy and Advocacy office in Washington DC.  This position will report to the Senior Director, Public Policy and Government Relations and will be responsible for our telecom portfolio, which includes ALA’s policy initiatives in digital inclusion and digital literacy.     ALA is the oldest and largest association for library and information professionals in the world, delivering pragmatic solutions to pressing issues such as expanding economic opportunity, advancing education, and learning in the global economy, as well as strengthening individual and civic rights, and promoting equity of access to information and technology for all.
