The American Physiological Society (APS) was founded in 1887 and is a global leader in expanding knowledge related to biological function. It connects a multidisciplinary community of nearly 10,000 scientists and educators from around the world, driving collaboration and spotlighting scientific discoveries in physiology and related disciplines. The members are advancing treatments and cures for everything from cancer and heart disease, to obesity and addiction. They are also deepening insight into living organisms generally, helping us to better understand how things like climate change are affecting the world around us.
APS is seeking a Project Assistant, Member Communities. This position provides award, fellowship, program, and meeting support to staff and for several internally and externally funded Member Communities programs. Some of the member communities include the Diversity and Inclusion (D&I), Physiologists in Industry, Trainee Advisory and Women in Physiology Committees and sections.

Skills and experience required
Salary and benefits This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a salary range of $48K - $53K. Exceptional benefits including 403-B retirement, medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and free parking are offered. APS is conveniently located Rockville, Maryland, walking distance to Metro and on major bus lines. Staff is currently working remotely but when the office re-opens, on-site work will be required.
