The Web Manager reports to the Director of Marketing to support HIDA’s marketing and communications strategies. This position enhances member value by maintaining the promotional and informational content of HIDA’s websites. This position is responsible for creating pages and adding content to HIDA’s websites through the content management system. This position assists and coordinates with all departments of HIDA to ensure that the websites are accurate, up to date and are presented to make valuable information easily accessible to our members. The candidate must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and strategic vision.
Job Responsibilities and Duties

1. Manage and monitor HIDA’s websites.
Assist in the development, copywriting, and implementation of content. Gather, coordinate, and review content updates from all HIDA departments.
Review and update existing content on HIDA’s websites.
Adhere to content review processes prior to posting.
Implement advertising and video on the site. Upload and manage HIDA products in the ecommerce system. Review and adjust web pages for mobile and tablet views.
Serve as the lead contact with the site developers and process monthly invoices.
2. Oversee performance of HIDA’s websites.
Collect website statistics and Google analytic reports.
Create Custom Google Analytics reports.
Ensure websites are working at optimal speed using Google Page Insights.
Review and monitor HIDA’s organic presence on Google.
Implement Google Tag Manager to track Marketing goals and conversions.
3. Assist with Marketing and promotional projects.
Assist with the development of virtual event sites.
Set up event registrations in the iMIS database.
Oversee marketing projects on an as needed basis.
4. Develop and maintain file management system.
Maintain up-to-date resource files for HIDA’s websites.
Maintain image files on Content Management System and purge old files monthly.
5. Contribute to the management of the membership database – iMIS.
Update member logins when requested.
Provide database lists as needed.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed and meet the amount of education, training and/or work experience required.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
A minimum of four years of website management experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve.
Ability to work effectively across departments and as a member of a team.
Strong knowledge of HTML.
Firm grasp of the basic principles of usability, website analytics (reporting) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a plus.
Some knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe Dreamweaver is preferred.
Knowledge of iMIS a plus.
Knowledge of Google Tag Manager a plus.
