In this leadership role, we seek an excellent communicator who has diplomacy and the demonstrated ability to communicate with cultural sensitivity with various constituents to manage all aspects of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) newborn global health portfolio, including clinical skills training, implementation, evaluation, and research. In addition, this position will be responsible for identifying new funding opportunities and write grants to sustain assigned programs.
Ideal candidates will possess:
Global/International experience.
Bachelor’s degree in education, international affairs, public health, business or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
5+ years’ related experience in public health program administration required, including international programs, adult or continuing education, budget management/development, and collaborating with multiple partners, preferably in a professional association setting.
Grant writing experience strongly preferred.
Experience with grant applications/management and supervising staff or serving as a team lead required.
Proficiency in foreign language(s) highly desirable.
Strong technical acumen essential with proficiency in MS Office, familiarity with databases, and the ability to learn and apply new technologies; experience with web maintenance software (eg, SharePoint) and virtual meeting platforms (eg, WebEx) preferred.
Some evening/weekend work and travel required, including international travel to resource limited areas.
