The Food Marketing Institute (FMI) is a dynamic national trade association, representing the supermarket industry on the cutting-edge of food and consumer trends. We are looking for a Director, Member Services who is ready to join an amazing membership team.
In this diverse position, you will:
Implement membership strategies to increase membership dues revenue by positively impacting member retention and recruitment
Conduct in-person meetings, manage webinars and conference calls to promote FMI benefits and services in order to recruit and retain current and prospective members.
Communicate with our membership, with an emphasis on international members discussing membership benefits, dues calculations, FMI resources, customer service issues, etc.
Develop brochures, member communications and maintain web pages to drive member recruitment and retention
Maintain and ensure accuracy of all member records
Manage the entire dues collection process
Manage the membership budgets along with the Chief Member Relations Officer
Candidates who will succeed in this role will have:
A college degree and/or coursework in business administration
At least five to seven years of trade association experience working in a membership capacity
Strong database management experience
Experience managing team members to include: coaching, conducting performance reviews and managing day-to-day responsibilities
Superior relationship and team-building experience working with internal and external stakeholders
Strong team orientation with a preference to work within and lead teams towards success
Expert-level written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills
A flexible and open mindset
Strong time management, organization and project management skills
Expertise in using the entire Microsoft Office Suite (2010) – Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Food industry experience is a real plus
The ability to travel on behalf of the organization as needed
