Position Summary:
The Director, Workforce Policy supports the Vice President, Strategy & Integration and is responsible for developing and managing the execution of industry positions, policies, events and programs on all matters related to the aerospace and defense workforce.
Responsible for developing and managing the execution of all efforts related to current and future aerospace workforce policies, programs and initiatives and works to help AIA member companies overcome challenges that may impede the success of these efforts.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:
This position reports directly to the Vice President, Strategy & Integration. The responsibility of the Director, Workforce Policy is to support the AIA Workforce Policy and related Working Groups. This position manages and coordinates AIA efforts to inspire, development, recruit and retain a skilled and dynamic 21st century aerospace workforce. Specific policy and program focus areas include: (1) science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education, (2) career technical education and workforce training, and (3) diversity and inclusion policies.
This position also works closely with AIA’s legislative team to monitor Federal statutes, policies and regulations that affect education, personnel policy, and other related matters for information that may be of interest to AIA member companies. Specific responsibilities include:
