Summary of Position The Director of Media Relations for the National Restaurant Association will make an impact on the restaurant and foodservice industry by working by working to further the mission of the association through communications to external and internal audience as well as the restaurant and foodservice industry as a whole. Responsibilities involve working with the VP of Enterprise and the VP of Policy Communications to create and execute strategic media relations and communication campaigns in support of the Associations key programs, educational programs, awareness campaigns, advocacy platforms and branding.

Position Specifications 1. Essential Use of Following Tools: • Computer
2. Essential Training/Certifications • BA or BS with emphasis on language and journalism or relevant work experience
• Excellent skills in writing and editing for a variety of audiences via numerous platforms, including writing for online and mobile. Knowledge of AP Style preferred.
4. Essential Mental Requirements • Must be able to work as an integral part of the Communications Team |
