The American Association for Justice (AAJ) is seeking an Application Analyst for the Information Technology department. AAJ seeks to promote a fair and effective civil justice system—and to support the work of attorneys in their efforts to ensure that any person who is injured by the misconduct or negligence of others can obtain justice in America’s courtrooms, even when taking on the most powerful interests.
The Application Analyst will be responsible for managing the design, development, maintenance and operation of the AMS (netFORUM). This person oversees the development and management of association management system reporting and customizations and ensures proper support to AAJ staff on association management system-related issues. In addition, the Application Analyst will ensure the operational and data integrity of the AMS and its integrations with internal and third-party systems.
Essential Duties: • Responsible for the administration and maintenance of the customer relationship database, including coordination of development of customizations through system's development functionality. • Function as the primary contact to consult with business units to understand their business needs, gather requirements and identify solutions. Will lead and participate in the development and implementation of selected solutions. • Oversees the end-to-end report development including interaction with staff to gather requirements, understand report objectives, design and deliver and train end users. • Test customizations, integrations along with AMS service pack and hot fix releases. • Ensure all aspects of AMS integrations are coordinated, tested and functioning properly. • Coordinate efforts with website and association management system vendors when implementing functionality that requires web services. • Oversight of association management system security. This includes adding and removing users, administering quotas, auditing, and checking for security problems. • Maintain up-to-date end-user documentation and standard operating procedures. • Develop and lead end-user training to support new and updated application functionality. • Keep abreast of developments in internet technology, design features and capabilities for the association management system that keeps current. • Perform all other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements: • B.A in IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience. • 2 years netFORUM database experience. • 2 years Project management experience with exposure to e-commerce, association management systems or equivalent enterprise software, relational databases. • Experience with membership organizations and volunteers desired. • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong relational database knowledge. • Strong understanding of SQL server database and data modeling; experience with netFORUM Toolkit preferred but not required. • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel). • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills to successfully engage and coordinate technical experts, business owners, and vendors. • Strong testing acumen, look for holes and not always follow happy path. • Proven track record of initiating collaborative effort among various departments. • Ability to gather information and analyze, conceptualize, set priorities, take initiative, work independently, lead a team and collaborate. • Demonstrated management, project and organizational skills to work on simultaneous tasks & projects and complete them on staggered deadlines.
