Are you a smart, friendly, coachable team player? We thought so.
The National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA.org) is looking for just such a person to oversee all of our education & training initiatives and tackle a few other fun, exciting and terribly adventurous duties one might expect of a relatively small staff, non-profit trade association.
Our E&T Director is in charge of two major areas: education for our own members, and education for our allied healthcare partners. Our current offerings can be found HERE.
We are looking for a bright, energetic personality with a strong work ethic, who is very comfortable with technology. Some trade association experience would be nice, but not critical. Experience in the automobility industry would also be nice, but again, not critical. You do need to have significant experience with the creation and management of both classroom-based and online education, as well as LMS administration.
In addition to our online offerings, we host two multi-day education opportunities for our members each year in different parts of the country, known as Manufacturer Service Schools. This position facilitates all aspects of these events.
This position also organizes and facilitates several live webinars every year on an as-needed basis, and works closely with our Education & Training committee to identify subject matter experts and relevant content.
We partner with an online content creation company to design and implement our online education; this position is intimately involved in creating the original content and subsequently working with our partner to ensure a successful & engaging final product.
We put on one major conference event per year and this position is very involved in it, working with the CEO to select presenters, panelists and moderators, and organizing all aspects of the training at the event.
The position does require some travel (domestic & very occasionally Canada). The amount varies, but averages 2-3 days every couple of months.
We would prefer this position be in-house, but we may be willing to consider a remote employee, under the right conditions.
NMEDA has nine full time employees, and our work environment is kind of fast-paced (for a trade association, at least) but fun. We put family first and we take care of each other. We can't pay what the big boys do, but we cover 100% of employee insurance costs, offer generous PTO and provide a 3% match on simple IRA contributions. Plus, we are closed from Christmas to New Years – with pay.
Sound interesting? Reply and we shall see...
