Position Summary: Acts as primary sales person to drive growth for dealer/distributor membership category. Will assist in development of member referral program and sales collateral material; responsible for lead generation and maintaining prospect list and reports.
Initiate and secure new membership sales for the association
Provides consultation and expert advice for new members in industry
Market research to identify and pursue new members for the association
Securing new memberships for the association through personal visits and telemarketing
Email marketing – design, format and write sales promotion e-mail
Responsible for membership award recognition
Pull database lists for target marketing (both email and direct mail) to different audiences
Work with association executives, regional manager staff and Vice President of Sales to retain existing members
Gain an in depth understanding of association value proposition and be able to sell it to member prospects
Promoting association services with prospective members
Create PowerPoint presentations to help communicate value proposition and report on the status of dealer membership
Manage prospect database and file regular call reports in AMS
Develop active sales pipeline list showing 30, 60, 90 and 120 day close dates
Assist in the development of a comprehensive membership marketing plan
Host member prospects at association events
Manage annual travel and entertainment budget and submit expenses in accordance with financial policy

Minimum Skills, Abilities& Behaviors
High school diploma or GED required, bachelor degree preferred
5 years minimum work experience with a proven association membership sales record
Acts as ambassador of association and offer assistance when needed
Change agent with the ability to embrace change, work around obstacles and take on additional tasks when needed.
Excellent communication skills to interact with industry and association personnel.
Proficiency in a variety of software and on line applications including. Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and association AMS
Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize, organize self to perform work accurately with detail orientation required.

Use of hands, arms and fingers 100% of the workday.
Use of eyes 100% of the workday; 20/40 vision with or without correction required.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Ability to travel up to 40% of the time to, visit with prospects and attend association events as requested.
Additional Salary Information: Commission plan based on membership dues of new members
