The American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS) is seeking an association professional with a passion for marketing and communication to join our virtual management team. When hired, the succesful candidate will:
Work with volunteer leaders as content experts, and plan, refine and execute marketing and communication strategy.
Provide leadership and guidance on the Society’s strategic use marketing and communications platforms.
Ensure consistent voice, tone, and look for all marketing/communication and maintain consistent brand standards.
Use demographic and other factors to selectively target market ASCLS products and services to the Society’s stakeholders.
Serve as consultant to colleagues and volunteer entities, facilitating strategic discussions about marketing communications and serving as an expert resource.
Serve as primary staff liaison with assigned, volunteer committees.
Manage all channels (social media, web, email, print).
Maintain calendars of marketing/communication plans, eliminate conflicts (audience fatigue, channel conflict) and encourage synergies between programs.
Oversee production of electronic and print materials by outside design vendors.
Support membership recruitment/retention efforts and advocacy activities.
Serve as a member of staff leadership team.
Minimum Required Applicant Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, marketing, English, communications or related field.
3-5 years of professional experience (preferably in non-profits and or health care) in traditional marketing and communications, as well as utilization of digital targeting, web remarketing, broadcast email and marketing automation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency manipulating data sets and usage of standard software like Photoshop, Acrobat, and Office 365.
Vocational passion for serving non-profits and achieving externally-focused missions.
Demonstrated capacity for self-directed work in a Results-Oriented Work Environment (ROWE) and ability to quickly learn new skills
Telecommuting is allowed.
