NASW is seeking a Learning Systems and Educationa; Techonolgies Associate to oversee the administration of NASW Learning Management System (LMS) and all other technology platforms employed by NASW in support of its Professional Development and CE initiatives. The main duties of the position will revolve around empowering the Association to produce and deliver high quality Professional Development initiatives through an efficient and effective use of supporting technologies while providing top-notch customer experience and support. This position will identify needs and produce requirements for planned systems upgrades, act as liaison between Professional Development team, NASW IT team, and third-party technology vendors, support day to day operations, and acts as first point of contact for customer support (internal) and member services (external) teams, specifically as it relates to technical issues/inquiries.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Skills: Creativity. Storytelling. Excellent writing. Data analysis. Ability to work productively Skills: Requires strong problems identification and resolution skills; proven ability to elicit and outline functional requirements; proficiency in the use of learning and content management systems; experiencing providing customer support via phone and email. Experience with continuing education programs is preferred as well as prior experience with association management systems (currently iMIS). Ability to work productively on cross-functional teams in a matrix organizational structure.
Knowledge: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field. Knowledge or Project Management concepts and methodologies is required. Working knowledge of authoring tools such as Adobe Suite, Articulate, etc. Knowledge of HTML5 and graphic design applications for e-learning development is a plus. Must be able to create spreadsheets, databases, workflow process maps, and filter complex data into concise reports.
Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a similar position. Prior experience working with non-profits or associations strongly preferred.
