The Society for Neuroscience (SfN) is searching for a Web Quality Control Assistant who will be responsible for the day-to-day transactions needed to coordinate the journals production and help track subscriptions and editor and vendor requests. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, process driven, and who has the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and vendors.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Verifies completeness of journal articles prior to online publication, ensuring all required elements are present and functional.
Reviews and updates informational content on journal website, as directed.
Identifies bugs on the journal website; submits and monitors support tickets.
Maintains up-to-date tracking records.
Provides customer service support to subscription vendor.
Updates process documentation to reflect changes, as necessary.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required.
1 year of professional experience required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, small team environment is essential.
Must be highly organized, analytical, detail oriented, and able to identify problems quickly.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to maintain a professional demeanor while managing difficult situations.
Must have proven ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
Must be able to work constructively with Editor-in-Chief, Senior Editors, and staff in other areas as needed.
