The Associated General Contractors of America, a National Construction Trade Association in Arlington, VA, seeks motivated individual for Political Affairs position in its Government Relations Department.
Primary responsibility is to manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the federal political action committee including recording and maintaining database records, coordinating financial transactions, preparing donor correspondence, maintaining the Advocacy website and assisting in fundraising initiatives and contributor recognition programs. The position will also provide support to the Government Relations team and will serve as the primary liaison between the AGC of America Office and the AGC Capitol Hill Headquarters.
Position Requirements: The successful candidate will possess excellent oral & written communication skills, ability to multitask, superior organization skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and proficiency in MS Office. A successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and be a self-starter. Min. 1-3 years related experience preferred. Bachelor’s Degree required. Previous experience with FEC and/or Lobbying Disclosure Act reporting preferred. Previous experience with PAC reporting and PAC database software preferred.
