Direct and coordinate the Society’s activities in the Specialty Society Management Services (SSMS) Division. Oversee the Specialty Society Management Department which provides contracted management services to 30+ state and national association clients. Provide overall direction to assure that the efforts of the department and staff are driven by the Society’s strategic plan and are advancing that plan. Serve as the Society’s expert on issues pertaining to the Society’s Specialty Leadership Cabinet to enhance the productive working relationship with specialty organizations. Foster strategic connections and partnerships between PAMED and state and national medical specialty groups.
Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years’ experience in Association Management, CAE preferred;
Big Picture thinking and ability to gain buy-in;
Client recruitment and development experience;
Financial acumen required with proven track record of leading an association with a profit;
Decisive and able to problem-solve
Excellent communication skills with the ability to be diplomatic, yet direct;
Project management, change management, and supervisory skills;
Proven ability to build relationships with clients and internal/external constituencies
