Primary Responsibilities: Membership and Professional Development: •Recruits new members and retains existing members in the Northern Indiana area •Organizes and actively coordinates education programs and certification courses in the Northern Indiana area •Maintains and reports metrics and departmental activities •Serves as the contact for related councils and committees •Organizes events in coordination with councils and state office •Monitors relevant local government activities in the area •Meets with local officials in coordination with Government Relations staff
Administration: •Schedules advisory council meetings, prepares agendas, minutes, and follows up on action items •Manages and implements the planning, implementation, day-to-day responsibilities, and evaluations of the area’s programs, and services •Maintains through database prospective, existing member and additional lists that support lead generation and member retention initiatives •Represents the organization at regional community activities •Plans, manages, and implements special projects Preferred Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or two years related association management experience or training, or a combination thereof •Proven sales and customer-service oriented communication skills •The ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously •Event planning experience •The ability to work independently •An established, goal-driven, prospecting, closing, and follow up track record •Experience working with volunteers and committees •Proficient Excel, Word, and/or other software program experience
Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisory duties associated with this position. Performs other duties assigned by association President/CEO and Director of Operations.
