This is a professional position in the AIA Center for Emerging Professionals department on the Member & Component Services team. The Center for Emerging Professionals was established to organize, advocate for, provide resources to, and represent the interests of emerging professionals; a diverse group of students, recent graduates, young professionals on the path to licensure, and architects licensed less than ten years. The Center for Emerging Professionals is the authoritative voice and resource for individuals at many points in their careers from education through licensure and beyond.
The manager is primarily responsible for developing and coordinating educational programs, directing data collection, and developing, promoting, and distributing knowledge resources for Emerging Professionals (EPs). In addition, the manager will develop content focused on Emerging Professionals for AIA communications channels and maintain records and archives of Emerging Professionals activities.
The manager works with other organizations including the American Institute of Architecture Students, the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture, and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. The position reports to the Senior Director, Center for Emerging Professionals.

Demonstrated writing and research skills and detail-oriented. Knowledge of architectural licensure processes, policies, and regulations in the United States, especially Architectural Experience Program (AXP, formerly IDP) and the Architect Registration Examination preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint are essential. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software; including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator is preferred. Capability to effectively use social media platforms and virtual networks and knowledge of HTML are benefits.
A bachelor’s degree is required with a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in an office/administrative/project support position. Architecture degree and some AXP and ARE experience preferred. Up to 15% travel required, primarily on weekends.
