Summary: This position generates revenue by selling IIA training programs to potential clients in the corporate, global and government sectors. Relationship selling, repeat business and new business development is a primary focus. The Sales Account Executive will work for the first 90-days with a base salary of $5,000/month. Salary beyond 90-days is 100% commission based, with a six figure earning potential after year 1.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Consult and contract enterprise-wide training programs, including on-site, in-person, on-demand, and on-line (“Learning & Development Training Programs”) through soliciting sales requests, following up on incoming leads, proactively making outbound calls to potential clients, and other outreach efforts as assigned by the Managing Director of Business Development and Enterprise-wide Sales (“Managing Director”);
Sell The IIA’s products, including conference registrations, membership, and any other as assigned by the Managing Director;
Work collaboratively with The IIA’s Learning Solutions department on programs/learning modules to sell, including conduct regular meetings regarding sales strategies;
Provide consultative training solutions and guidance to potential clients with The IIA’s various Learning and Development Training Platforms and proactively sell The IIA’s training solutions, including Learning & Development Training Programs;
Establish and maintain relationships with current and potential clients providing them information on The IIA’s Learning& Development Training Programs as well as with upcoming features and products;
Maintain a pipeline of all sales by sales stage and enter each lead, potential sale, and sale into CRM system.
Maintain CRM system records with lead, potential sale, client, and sale-specific information, including
Ensure that accuracy and balance of records are verified as sales are reported. If an account is not entered into the CRM system or entered incorrectly, then commission will be forfeited on that account/sale; Attend weekly Business Development Team and Training Sales Team meetings at The IIA as assigned by the Managing Director; and
Provide account relationship and exhibit support, including traveling to The IIA’s conferences, as assigned by the Managing Director; and
Report client issues and relationship matters on a timely basis to the Managing Director.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% may be required.
Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and three to five years proven experience in a commission sales position; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with an international organization is an asset.
