The Staff Accountant will handle a wide range of important duties such as financial analysis and reporting functions, annual budgeting, assisting accounts payable, account reconciliation; ensuring that the policies and procedures of the internal control structure are adhered to in order to generate reliable financial information and promote operational efficiency.
Financial analysis and data integrity
Create and distribute of month-end financial reports
Help with accounts payable, credit card and bank statement reconciliation
Work with the finance team on annual budget process
Balance sheet reconciliation
Support year-end compliance and reporting (i.e. Forms 1099, Form 990, etc.)
Business process documentation
Education: Applicants should possess a bachelor’s in Business, Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum of three to five years of experience in a high-volume accounts payable and general ledger environment
Strong knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles)
General knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, especially Lawson, SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics AX
Highly skilled in excel
Strong analytical skills
Strong communication skills (orally and written; understand and carry out oral/written instructions)
Shows leadership skills
Ability to multi task
