Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking an accomplished strategic and visionary leader to oversee an organization with $25+ million of revenue encompassing a complex administration of programs and properties. The President/CEO is expected to continue to grow the organization with a major focus on ministry, human services programs, fund raising, community relations, real property acquisition and management, branding, and financial health. Candidate must be able to cultivate strong working relationships with Board of Director members on two boards, government partners and key leaders in the community. Entrepreneurial spirit with analytical, critical and long-term strategic thinking and problem solving abilities required. Strong written and oral communication skills. Job requires strong skills at fund raising, motivating a diverse workforce, building consensus and relationships. Salary commensurate with experience and comprehensive benefits package
Master’s degree in a related field plus a minimum of 10 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in a non-profit human service setting, that included leadership of a large workforce and a significant budget. Experience with development and oversight of a real estate portfolio a plus. Experience can substitute for education at the rate of two years to one. Proven ability in program development and management of diverse and complex human service programs, budgeting, fundraising, board development and collaboration as well as personnel management. The President/CEO is required to become a Volunteers of America minister within 2 years of employment.
