This position reports to the professional development director. This position manages the development and maintenance of quality educational programming, curriculum and content, in conjunction with industry volunteers. This position requires excellent written and verbal skills and project management skills. Candidate should be high-energy, organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated and have the ability to set, manage and meet priorities under changing conditions. Candidate will also provide administrative and customer service support for the professional development team.
Duties and responsibilities:
Write, edit and oversee the development, implementation and production of association publications, class PowerPoints and online learning content.
Oversee webinar programming including identify topics, solicit and coordinate presenters, and promote webinars.
Work with volunteers and consultants to develop and manage textbook content, class PowerPoints, online curriculum and webinar topics.
Propose new opportunities for education development.
Manage outreach efforts to affiliate member organizations to sponsor education courses and offer certification exams.
Manage logistics for IA-sponsored classes including soliciting and communicating with instructors and shipping class materials.
Negotiate, execute and manage contracts for IA-sponsored classes.
Manage and analyze course evaluations.
Manage and support the online learning management system.
Analyze education sales data.
Manage education conference during annual trade show including ordering textbooks, maintaining class rosters, preparing class materials, coordinating volunteer instructors, and processing electronic course evaluations.
Provide support to the IA Education Committee.
Resolve certification and education customer service issues.
Assist in marketing and communication efforts for IA classes, publications and certification exam sessions.
Provide general office and phone support to the certification and education department.
Maintain certification and education website pages as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree with five years of experience in education or certification program implementation, Microsoft Office, LMS software platforms and databases. Experience working with volunteers and subject matter experts. The ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Self-motivated with solid organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to learn new skills quickly. Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of iMIS, Articulate, GoToWebinar, Knowledge Direct and/or HTML a plus.
Other: Some travel required.
Type: Full time. 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Salary and benefits: Starting salary is $50,000 - $55,000 per year commensurate with experience. Excellent health and dental programs.
