The Membership Engagement Specialist is responsible for providing support to volunteer led special interest groups (or "sections") and regional components, managing our Fellowship application process (the highest level of membership), providing superior customer service to members, and other administrative duties related to membership.
Job duties include:
Working with section leaders to plan meetings for annual conference, posting information on section and component areas of the website, coordinating webinars and other administrative duties related to section and component activities.
Processing applications for Fellowship and verifying credentials for applicants, working closely with fellowship chair to set up the agenda for conference calls and following up on specific Fellow applications, answering questions and concerns, sending out meeting information to committee, coordinating fellowship ceremony at annual conference
Coordinating monthly conference calls for Membership Committee, working with Membership Chair to set agenda for calls, taking minutes, arranging New Member Orientation at annual conference in conjunction with committee
Occasionally assisting with processing membership applications, answering calls on the member service line, entering membership data into the CRM, processing miscellaneous transactions such as subscriptions, book orders, registrations, etc.
Traveling to component meetings and other events to assist the Marketing Specialist with promoting membership
Participating in special projects as needed
Prior experience in an administrative role
Experience working with CRM or AMS systems
Advanced skills in MS Office applications, Word, Excel, Outlook and othe productivity focused tools
Excellent problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with co-workers
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Must be willing to travel 3-4 times a year
Prior experience with an association and/or working with volunteers preferred
Marketing experience a plus
