RESNA, the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America, is seeking a part time (20-24 hours per week) Office Administrator. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Office Administrator assists in organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
The Office Administrator is responsible for managing vital HR functions of the organization, coordinating with and assisting Accounting to assure timely payment of bills and accurate financial records, supporting programs including certification, membership, education accreditation, and the Annual Conference.
Assists with Human Resources functions including payroll and benefits administration in accordance with the Employee Handbook and accepted practices.
Monitors and maintains office equipment including phones, computers, and furniture; identifies needs and recommends procurements.
Maintains proper inventory of supplies and publications; manages the order taking and fulfillment of publication sales.
Maintains a close relationship with select contractors and vendors, including benefits broker, accounting firm, audit firm, landlord and IT support.
Provides support services including processing mail, coding of checks for daily check log, assisting with bank deposits.
Insures accurate coding and departmental charges for all invoices received.
Assists the Membership Manager with incoming membership applications and renewals and the generation of receipts and acknowledgements including the new members welcome information.
Manages updates for on-line membership directory and website access permissions.
CERTIFICATION and EDUCATION
Supports CEU application process.
Assists with processing certification payments and correspondence.
Process AT journal quizzes.
Assists Certification staff with filing and other duties as assigned.
Assists with processing of conference registrations and creation of registration reports; maintains registration database.
Assists with online proposal submission.
Supports Conference Planner and other staff as directed by the Executive Director.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
At least 4 years of professional association experience desirable.
Must be detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Project planning and management experience a plus.
Strong organizational skills in order to handle multiple overlapping activities.
Association database experience helpful.
Possess a positive, team-player attitude with strong customer service work ethic.
Proficient computer skills including, but not limited to MS Office, Excel, web tools including social media tools.
Additional Salary Information: Part time position at an hourly rate of $20-25/hour depending on experience
