Thriving Association Management Company in McLean, Virginia that serves not-for profit health and medical associations seeks a full-time Association Manager who will work with the Associate and Executive Director, Board of Directors, committee chairs and members to manage projects on an annual and ad hoc basis including the Annual Members Meetings programming and planning, data entry, working with subcontractors for grants, supporting the growing membership, and a variety of committee initiatives and projects derived from the strategic plan. Association management company (AMC) seeks an association manager to support various administrative aspects of ongoing projects which includes conference support, leadership support, publications and membership services. Some travel required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Ability to maintain and run reports for Microsoft Access
Work with Committee leaders and members to assure that each Committee has a clear strategy for accomplishing defined goals in a timely fashion.
Coordinate collaboration among volunteer members via electronic communication, teleconference and in person meetings.
Assist with planning of various types of meetings including site selection, online registration process, coordinate logistics (F&B, AV, etc.), and provide onsite meeting management.
Work with leaders and fellow staff to identify new projects, develop detailed execution plans, and assure that projects developed are completed by specific deadlines.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Four-year undergraduate degree preferred. Association or non-profit or AMC experience preferred.
Interest in learning and gaining proficiency in new skills. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and familiarity with Access required. Detail oriented, excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills and ability to multitask essential. The ideal candidate will have association experience, have been in the workforce at least 3 years, and have a high energy level and expectations for advancement.
