Here is who we are looking for:
You are a people person and like building relationships with individuals of all backgrounds. You like to get a task and run with it, with minimal check-ins from you supervisor. You like to work on many different projects at once (and can manage doing so without being overwhelmed). You like to manage social media, website and email updates to the membership. You can work as a liaison between committees and staff and between committee members. You also are comfortable with volunteer management, working with volunteer leaders and key stakeholders of the organization. You are extremely proficient with a computer and database systems.
Here’s what you’ll do:
Work on getting new members! This might have been done by reaching out to people who purchase items from the e-store; non-members who attend the convention; people who call with technical questions; exhibitors, attendees and companies listed in the magazine or catalog of other groups, to name a few strategies.
Send out recruiting letters to prospective members and renewal letters to current members
Talk to members via phone and email who needed information on their membership
Send out the weekly email update to members
Compose the monthly membership report for the Board
Collect dues payments from members – and get in touch with those who have yet to pay
Update member contact information
Keep up to date with the Membership, Emerging Leaders, Mentoring, Videos and Education Committees projects
Work with the Education Committee to plan topics/programs for the convention, Fall conference and videos
Keep track of qualified speakers to present to the committees
Promote CISCA’s education events, usually via email/website
Prepare agenda, reports and minutes for Education and Video Committee
Attends Fall Conference (once a year)
Draft and send emails to members regarding upcoming events
Maintain and update member information in the database
Update the website pages
Annual Convention Tasks
In charge of CISCA’s booth at annual convention
Track and reach out to first time attendees by sending them an email prior to their arrival on site with the convention schedule and advising them of the dress code and other pertinent information for the events, including times and locations
Assist with all other Convention related activities as assigned, including registration, attendee directory and signs and posters for the convention
Attend Convention and INTEX trade show

Great candidates will have 2-5 years of experience in a non-profit or association type work environment, and have membership experience. An established stable job history is required to apply. Experience in education and membership programs are a plus. We offer a full benefits package (health, dental, auxiliary benefits, retirement plan).
